It’s All About You!

By Chelsea Pyne

Legend has it that the English Royal Colony of Carolina sold a land grant to a man named Caleb Story, that same land which we now call Kernersville.  Hundreds of years may have passed, but his name lives on with the most unique, highly-anticipated planned community in the Triad.  Caleb’s Creek, now a decade in the making, has at last opened its homes to families around the Piedmont.  Caleb’s Creek is located just south of historic downtown Kernersville and boasts over 900 acres, a third of which are gorgeous greenways.

The Caleb’s Creek project and land development is being managed by Greer Louis, Inc. of Greensboro.  True Homes is one of the first builders to start in the community.  Founded in 2007, True Homes is a privately held company based out of Monroe, NC.  They were ranked as the 16th largest private builder in the US earlier this year.  Since numbers (and clients) talk, closing approximately 1600 homes per year just goes to show that True Homes knows what they are doing.  And how do they do so well?  Matt Ingram, a True Advisor in the Triad area explains, “We embrace a model in which we treat every client like a friend or family member.  Working this way ensures we give it our all and our clients walk away with a great experience from contract to close.”

The company’s tagline, “It’s All About You” emphasizes that True Homes is a semi-custom builder, not just a production builder.  Matt adds, “We believe that clients should not be limited to a few options within a floor plan when building their home.  Instead, we take a consultative approach and work with the client to identify a floor plan that fits how they live within a home and then build the floor plan around their lifestyle.  This allows us to essentially customize a floor plan to the exact needs of each person.”

You do not have to be an architect or have a design degree to figure out what will work best for your home and family.  The approach is made simple and quick with the interactive plasma screen.  Due to the transparency of the process there are no surprises.  Second guessing or having an uneasy feeling is eliminated with this process.

True Homes guides each person to their desired home by figuring out how they want their space shaped, not the other way around.  The question to be considered is: what works best for your lifestyle?  Do you need a large living room for family space?  How close do you need to be to downtown?  Is being in walking distance to a lake or park a necessity?  There are many important details that need to be covered.  Seeing as the customer holds these answers–not the builder or design the team–True Homes takes the position as the shepherd and works with each person to make their dream home a reality.

As Alison Blaum, also a True Advisor in the Triad area explains, “The experience does not stop when clients leave the model.  Clients who build with us are able to pick out all the features of their home at our Design Centre located in Kernersville.  We have design consultants that meet with each client at our local showroom and assist them with selecting all the items for their homes.  We then communicate with them on a weekly basis so they are truly a part of the entire process and fully understand each step.”  Breaking down each part ensures clients’ homes will be matched to a T.

Alison and Matt, both having strong ties to Kernersville, are excited to be overseeing sales of the True Homes in the Caleb’s Creek Project.  The True Homes community within the project is located off Glennview Dr. (off Union Cross Rd., right next to I-40).  Matt explains, “Currently, we are in Phase II of our community.  We recorded 17 lots in June and we only have 10 left.  This speaks to the strong demand we are seeing and the desire people have to live in this highly anticipated community.”  There are 14 different floor plans available in this community including ranch, two-story, and master on the main level.  He adds, “Again, all of these can be personalized and built in countless ways.  The prices range from $200k – $300k with a build time of 6-7 months.”

Caleb’s Creek is being built on the land formally known as the Pine Tree golf course.  It is a 927 acre project with 327 acres consisting of greenways.  It will be a community within itself, complete with amenities (pool, tennis courts, etc.), shopping, dining, mixed use, retirement community, and so on.  Additionally, it will have trails and access to multiple lakes and ponds around the area.  Covering all corners of an ideal community, even the clubhouse has received approval with construction starting this winter.  Photos and more details can be found in the vision book: bit.ly/calebscreek.

Before even picking up the phone, www.TrueHomesUSA.com offers a great deal of information for those interested in a move.  By selecting “Triad” on the Market tab, it will bring you to a map that lists all available locations and properties.  From there you can filter by collection, price, and floor plan.  Each property will have an explanation of the house itself, surrounding areas, and community information, such as school districts and nearby parks.  There is also the option for Quick Move-Ins which allows people who do not have much time to find a great place quickly and efficiently.  The ease of access continues to make the True Homes experience a convenient and enjoyable one.

The Triad Division, which began in 2013 now sports 25 communities.  Prices range from $130s – $550s with homes being built from 1600 sq.ft. to 4100 sq.ft.  For more information on Caleb’s Creek or any other True Home community in the Triad, call Matt or Alison at 336-497-1341 or visit www.TrueHomesUSA.com.
