Your Town, Your Life

By Chris Comer

What is the first thing that pops into your head when someone says Kernersville?  How about big business?  Situated conveniently between two major highways, it is known for its peaceful nature and consistent growth.  Kernersville is a great town full of amazing people and is becoming known for its amazing lights at Christmas.  It is also a great place to work that affords a secure lifestyle and places dollars back into our community.

Kernersville has evolved into the premiere business community in the Triad.  Our goals all seem to align together, whether you work, live, or just come to enjoy Kernersville, we all must work together for the good of our community.

Those of us in Kernersville like to know each other.  The Kernersville Chamber is a place where we like to learn everyone’s name.  A place you can come to find out all that is happening in Kernersville.

Business in Kernersville gives the community the opportunity for increased quality of life.  Who else can say they have seen a brand new Excavator just off the assembly line making its way on a truck to its new home?  How many people have the opportunity to have big businesses work together to export the latest shipment of flu vaccines.  We are very fortunate to have the healthcare, industries, and small businesses that we have, right at our fingertips.  Let’s face it, if we never left Kernersville we would have all that we need right here.

Sporting events, hiking, parks, and pools; there is something for everyone.  For those who like to read, Kernersville has a fantastic library with a new library being built on Pineview.  Safety first, our fire and police departments continue to stay up to date on training and equipment, always ready to provide service.  We cannot forget the Historic opportunities in Körner’s Folly, Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden, The Kernersville Museum, The Depot, and the rich history described in the plaques and markers along Main Street.

The best continues to come as the Northern Beltway will finish.  We will get additional shops on South Main Street and shops continue to flourish in Downtown. The opportunities are never ending—making our town the best in the South.

Tell everyone about our town, your town.  Invite them to shop, site see, visit locations that are of an historical nature, and spend an enjoyable weekend in Kernersville.  Join in the Chambers vision in “connecting and working together for the premiere business community in the Triad.”
