Walking through such a historic town, Kernersville, on a Saturday can be magical and downright relaxing. Think about blue skies, green grass, smiling faces and music…music in the air.

Saturdays in Kernersville are about to get even more fun! Every summer and fall Kernersville Downtown offers Sidewalk Saturdays with lots of fun, food, and merchandise for everyone.

Fun for all:

• Sitting on a bench on North or South Main Street is downright therapeutic. The opportunity to experience a diverse group of merchants and eateries is abound.
• Enjoying the blue skies of Carolina and a beautiful environment filled with historic homes, a museum, and a railroad depot– yep that is Kernersville. With a rich historic flare, Kernersville is an adventurer’s dream. Walk around to find the markers where famous folks have visited. Oh, and the historic homes are breathtaking.
• There is something for everyone in each of the shops. Our hope is that you will bring your friends and visitors to shop in Kernersville. There are many unique pieces that are handmade by local artists. Many items cannot be purchased anywhere else. Hey, and there is always ice cream, frozen custard, frozen ice, and ice cold drinks for any age.
• Nightlife is plentiful each week at two to three venues. Enjoying great music is a pastime for many. We are very lucky to have so many talented people that share their melodies with us. Music is in the air during the daytime hours from the speakers that have been placed on the posts in downtown. There is just something about music that soothes the soul.
