In September the season starts off with My Way, A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra.  This is a look back at the life and times of Ol’ Blue Eyes himself through the songs he made famous.  Songs like Fly Me to the Moon, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, New York New York and… well you get the idea.  There are over fifty songs in this show and the intimate venue of Cupid’s Park Theatre in historic Körner’s Folly is a great place to enjoy them all.  Now you need to know this show is not about someone impersonating Frank Sinatra.  I am sure you are thinking Las Vegas but My Way showcases the talents of some classy men and women who will share the Chairman’s story through song and give you a night to remember.

Are you tired of Spiderman?  Then come see Charlotte’s Web.  That is right; KLT will produce this family classic to make up for you having to get a babysitter for the last show.  Wilbur the pig is saved by Charlotte’s web writing.  This is a play about friendship that transcends the barnyard.  So bring the entire family and the babysitter to see one of the best books in American children’s literature played out on stage.  A truly enchanting story is waiting for children of all ages in November at the Kernersville Elementary James Fitzpatrick Auditorium.

The Papers is a story about what some people will do in order to inherit a fortune.  In this particular situation Peggy Ruttles, with the help of her sister, tries to convince everyone in their small town that her husband Harvey is still alive.  He passed away a day before he was to sign the papers that would allow them to inherit millions.  Peggy and her sister go through a lot to maintain their ruse.  But the actor who will play the deceased husband will go through a lot too.  That should be interesting to see.  So, plan on going to the Kernersville Elementary James Fitzpatrick Auditorium in late February and early March to see this one.

And for your classic musical enjoyment KLT brings you The Pajama Game.  This Tony winner spawned a movie, two Broadway revivals and some great songs like Hey There and Hernando’s Hideaway.  The story concerns a strike at the Sleep-Tite Pajama factory and how the leaders of the opposing sides fall in love.  Some splashy production numbers are  and there you have a glowing example of the best in classic musical comedy.  And wearing your pajamas will not get you a discount.  Just wear regular clothes and show up at the Kernersville Elementary James Fitzpatrick Auditorium in June.  This will be a great show.

We hope to see you at the theatre because really, it is you that makes each season special!
