Fairytale Farm Animal Sanctuary, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing farm animals is expanding into Kernersville and is all set to host its first-ever gala event! The event, called The Garden Gala, will be held on the evening of May 18, at a beautiful lakeside venue in Greensboro.

The Garden Gala is a celebration of Fairytale Farm’s important work in rescuing and rehabilitating farm animals in need, and an opportunity to connect with our community. All proceeds from the event will go towards the continued care and support of the sanctuary’s animal residents.

Since its founding in 2021, Fairytale Farm Animal Sanctuary has been making a remarkable difference in the lives of farm animals.
It has become a safe haven for animals that have suffered from abuse, neglect, and abandonment. With the help of their dedicated team of volunteers, Fairytale Farm Animal Sanctuary provides a safe and nurturing environment for animals to recover and thrive. Fairytale Farm currently cares for over 60 animals including goats, sheep, ducks, turkeys, miniature donkeys, pigs, and rabbits.

Fairytale Farm is expanding to open a small animal shop, resource and adoption center in downtown Kernersville. The new location is set to open in April and will be open to the community to meet and learn about small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, and hamsters available for adoption. Fairytale Farm will be hosting monthly educational, hands-on classes for children of all ages and abilities, as well as seasonal fundraiser events. All of this is made possible by the support of the community through donations, volunteering, and attending events. Interested volunteers can fill out a volunteer form on our website, FairytaleFarm.org.

The Garden Gala promises to be an entertaining and heartwarming event, with delicious food, refreshing drinks, and live music. The “Happily Ever After” photo booth provided by NC Photo Booths will capture special memories for guests to take home with them. The highlight of the event, however, will be the chance to meet some of the animals in our care and hear their touching stories. Guests will be moved by the tales of the animals’ journeys to recovery and the unwavering dedication of the volunteers who made it all possible.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating our third anniversary with our first-ever gala event,” says Fairytale Farm Animal Sanctuary founder and director, Kimberly Dunckel. “This is a special milestone for us, and we are excited to share it with our supporters and the community. Our animal residents have come a long way, and we are proud to be able to provide them with a loving home and the care they need.”

The Garden Gala is not only a celebration of Fairytale Farm’s important work in rescuing and rehabilitating animals, but also an opportunity to connect with others in the community who support the mission of kindness and compassion to all. The organization offers monthly volunteer and educational programs to the community, providing unique opportunities for families and individuals to learn more about animal behavior and care. Fairytale Farm also offers seasonal fundraiser events that anyone can volunteer and participate in. These inclusive monthly events and programs not only raise awareness, but also bring together people of all ages and abilities.

“We want to show our gratitude to our supporters and the community for their unwavering support,” says Kimberly. “We hope that the Garden Gala will be a night of celebration, reflection, and hope, as we showcase our collective efforts in rescuing and rehabilitating farm animals in need.”
