Committed to Women’s Health Care

The “New Normal” for Lyndhurst Gynecologic Associates is nothing short of what patients would expect if they walked through the office doors just last year. Although some formalities have shifted, Lyndhurst remains committed to providing the utmost quality care in a socially distanced fashion. Lyndhurst has served three generations of women since opening its doors in 1970. Regardless of what may be happening in the news, their physicians will continue to wholeheartedly serve Kernersville women for decades to come.

Lauri Cox, FNP-C explained, “Our services are without a doubt essential–we are so happy that we can be there for our Kernersville women. Our staff and board continue to share ideas and resources so we can offer superior care to our patients and meet every difficult situation head-on. At Lyndhurst, we aim to provide the highest quality obstetric and gynecologic care. We are always striving to enhance the experience and add value which fulfills our patients’ needs.”

Providing exceptional care is rooted in having an exceptional staff. Lauri is a North Carolina native. Her nursing experience consists of neonatal intensive care, public health, and nursing education. Lauri graduated from UNC-G with a B.S. in Nursing in 1992. In 1998, she became an international board-certified lactation consultant in 2005. Lauri completed her MSN/Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Duke University School of Nursing. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and her interests are women’s health and breastfeeding. Prior to joining Lyndhurst in 2005, Lauri worked at Forsyth Medical Center as a lactation consultant, and at Wake Forest University School of Medicine Neonatal Intensive Care. While Lauri is the main Advance Practice Provider (APP) at the Kernersville office, her team consists of other excellent physicians that rotate in throughout the week: Stacee Sheets Goodrich, MD, Brad Jacobs, MD, Nell Johnson, MD, Jacqueline Mims, MD, Tristan Sanz, MD, Nicholas Schoenbachler, MD, and APP Jennifer Cerny, ANP-C.

“Health is our number one priority, as it has always been. Now we must meet a new standard of safety guidelines and we are happy to do what is asked of us. That is why in order to keep our patients and staff safe, we welcome patients to FaceTime or video call with family members who are not able to attend,” Lauri explained. The practice is committed to keeping patients safe and healthy during the current COVID-19 crisis. Lyndhurst will continue to maintain a social distancing policy in their office per state and medical guidelines. In order to avoid crowding in the waiting room, they have placed visitor restrictions. Only obstetric patients who are having an ultrasound will be allowed to have a visitor present with them. In addition, they require masks to be worn at all times when in their office and ask patients to please bring a mask with them to visits. “Our staff at Lyndhurst understands these are trying times for everyone and we appreciate your cooperation and patience,” Lauri added.

Women of all ages have different healthcare needs throughout their lives.
