The Kernersville Chamber is hosting a plethora of events this year. From small business awareness events to annual community events, they are hosting it all. Here is a list of what to look forward to this year. If you see anything you are interested in, contact the Kernersville Chamber for more information. 

Business Social Events

This monthly event is hosted by different businesses in the area that is a member of the Kernersville Chamber. The next event will be held at Paul J Ciener Botanical Garden at 215 South Main Street, for a Business Before Hours at 8am-9am. 

Lunch with Leaders 

Lunch with Leaders, organized by the Kernersville Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee, provides opportunities to hear about local, regional, and state updates and plans. Tuesday, March 7, Tuesday, May 9, and Tuesday, September 12 include NC Labor Commissioner, NC Department of State Treasurer and local updates.  

Healthy Living and Business Expo 

Healthy Living & Business Expo will be held on March 14 from 10am-2pm at the Kernersville Family YMCA at 1113 West Mountain Street. The event is FREE to everyone and you can get information regarding your physical, mental, and financial wellness. There will be vendors including health screenings, educational opportunities, and seminars. Food and coffee trucks will be on hand for purchase of food and beverages.

Magnolias and Mimosas

The Kernersville Chamber’s Women in Business Committee is hosting their 6th Annual Magnolias & Mimosas. The event will feature prominent women in the community through a fashion show showcasing clothes from local Kernersville clothing stores. This year’s event will take place on April 1 at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden. Additional event information will be posted at a later date at kernersvillenc.com

Recycle Day 

Recycle Day takes place in April each year at Town Hall/Chamber parking lot. Local area residents can drop off items that need to be recycled including a shredding service, electronics disposal, metal, batteries, plastics, and cardboard as well as prescription pills to recycle. This year’s Recycle Day is Saturday, April 15 from 8am-12pm. There is no cost for this event.

Kernersville Spring Folly

The Kernersville Spring Folly is a large event in Kernersville that attracts approximately 30,000 visitors from all over. This year’s Spring Folly will begin on Friday, May 5 from 6pm-10pm, continue on Saturday, May 6 from 10am-10pm, and end on Sunday, May 7 from 1pm-6pm. 

Brick Ceremony 

Celebrate someone in your life with their own personalized brick. Memorialize a loved one, honor someone special, remember a veteran, or even footprint your business. These bricks are timeless and help the Downtown Committee create a healthy economic climate and preserve our historic heritage. The event will be held on Saturday, June 10 at 10am at Town Hall. Deadline to order bricks is Friday, May 12. 

Women in Business Conference 

The Kernersville Chamber’s Women in Business Committee will host their 3rd Annual Women’s Conference. This event is a perfect opportunity to provide professional women in our community with the tools they need to feel empowered and to succeed. The all-day conference will be held in June of 2023. Additional event information will be posted at a later date on kernersvillenc.com.

Music at Twilight

This is a summer concert series held monthly June-August on the last Thursday of the month at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden. The event is open to the community with a reach of an average of 200 guests. Beer, food, and wine area available for purchase.

Chamber Golf Tournament 

The Annual Chamber Golf Tournament will be held at the beautiful Pine Knolls Golf Club on August 18. There are 30 teams that will play at 7:30am and 30 teams play at 1pm for this Captains Choice Tournament. Lots of fun, networking and the option to play or volunteer makes this one you do not want to miss. 

Downtown Trick or Treat 

Kernersville’s 29th Annual Downtown Trick or Treat will be on Tuesday, October 31 from 6pm-8pm. Kernersville residents are invited to venture along the sidewalks of Downtown Kernersville in search of yummy treats. Hosted by the Kernersville Chamber, Town of Kernersville Parks & Recreation, the Kernersville Police Department, and the Kernersville Fire and Rescue.

Veterans Parade 

This is the 1st Annual Veterans Parade put on by the Kernersville Chamber. This will be held on Sunday, November 5 at 2:30PM. Starting at Musten and Crutchfield, traveling down Main Street, and ending at Harmon Park. Please come out and thank our veterans!

Small Business Saturday – Holiday Open House 

Saturday, November 25 is the perfect time to catch great deals and get a jump start on your holiday shopping. The event will start at 10am with pictures with Santa at the Kernersville Museum. Then you can Shop Local with Santa in Downtown Kernersville from 1pm-2pm.

Christmas Around Kernersville 

Join us for a weekend long event in Kernersville. Saturday, December 2 will start our event with Christmas Around Kernersville. Shopping and supporting local with Santa to finish up last minute Christmas Shopping. Then finish the night with the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Harmon Park. Sunday, December 4 at 2:30pm will be the start of our Annual Christmas Parade through Downtown Kernersville. Additional event information to come later at kernersvillenc.com.  

Young Professionals of Kernersville 

The Young Professionals of Kernersville fosters an environment for young professionals, ages 18-39 that is energized, engaged, and empowered to continue the legacy of leadership, progress, and growth that has helped shape Kernersville. The group hosts monthly events throughout the year to further professional development, community outreach, social networking, personal growth, and charities. 

As you can see, the Chamber is hard at work bringing the community together through fun events and opportunities. Do not miss being involved this year!
