Seasons Change and the Fun Begins

As the days are becoming shorter and the temperature is dropping, you might not be too happy that autumn is arriving. Or maybe, the opposite is true and fall is your favorite season. Whether you love fall or you are already missing summer, here are a few ways to enjoy yourself.

They will learn the proper techniques of shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding, court spacing, team offense, and defensive skills. Kids will learn in a fun environment and gain self-confidence, allowing them to create their own winning formulas on and off the court.
Inspire your young child’s love of art with Young Rembrandts drawing classes. All new lessons are coming up this session, inspiring your child’s imaginative spirit and bolstering educational skills that will benefit them all year long. Don’t miss out, enroll now for fall classes!

It would not be fall without a host of athletics underway. Adult Softball, Adult Soccer, and Cannons Lacrosse were excited to be playing on newly renovated/updated fields at the Ivey M. Redmon Sports Complex and Bagley Field Complex this season. During the summer months, many improvements were made including outfield grading, sodding, and leveling as well as infield clay, laser grading, and leveling. The Lacrosse fields also have new fencing at the Ivey M. Redmon Sports Complex!
Kernersville Sister City welcomes the brilliant Taiwanese young pianist Tzu-Yi Chen! Born in Taiwan, she became one of Taiwan’s best talents and a leading pianists of her generation. Tzu-Yi Chen’s honors include the prestigious Premier Prix from the Paris Conservatory. A recent performance gathered acclaim by Frank Dakin with New York Concert Review, Inc. He noted that, “A magnificent recital (at Carnegie Hall) took place on October 11, 2014 by Taipei-born pianist Tzu-Yi Chen….in a wide-ranging program, she displayed not only the usual technical command one expects, but beautiful tone, total artistic involvement, deep feeling, stylistic understanding, and in an era of cookie-cutter musicians, the feeling of spontaneity, even risk, that makes an evening truly memorable, often electrifying.”
Kernersville Sister City Association is proud to offer the opportunity to experience the musical stylings of Tzu-Yi Chen on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Ardmore Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. The concert will begin at 3:00pm with a meet and greet reception to follow from 5:00-6:00pm. Tickets are available at www.BrownPaperTickets.com/event/2126881. General/online admission is $20, or $25 at the door. VIP tickets for the concert and the reception are $30.
