Romerg Little Spa was founded by Mercedes Méndez and her husband Jorge in 2000.  Sixteen years later, Mercedes, a Master Paramedical Aesthetician, is still excited that they chose downtown Kernersville to call home.  And her customers agree, Romerg Little Spa is the place to go to relax, rejuvenate, and revitalize.

Talk about a local family business, Romerg got its name from the collaboration of Mercedes, her husband, and two children.  By combining a bit of each family member’s initials, you get Ro-Mer-G.  Even the spa’s design, layout, and arrangement was thoroughly debated by the family.  But before Romerg, Mercedes refined her profession with years of working throughout Europe, Mexico, and around Kernersville. “I have been in the wellness and spa industry for over 27 years.  Skincare and wellness is both my passion and my husband’s–a Medical Aesthetician, with 9 years of experience in the field, he specializes in anti-aging treatments,” Mercedes added.

The experience and expertise that the Méndez couple provides speaks for itself, but also on their team is Ena Fusté, a licensed massage and bodywork therapist with over 25 years of practice.  Ena works closely with people who suffer from fibromyalgia, general pains, migraines, inflammatory conditions, and those affected by hair loss.  Mercedes has also worked under plastic surgeons and dermatologists to better understand the pathology of the skin, therefore delivering a better service.  A dream team indeed.

Romerg Little Spa offers a variety of integrative treatments, but the “must haves” for the summer revolve around caring for the skin. “Summertime is usually considered the time to go out and soak up the sun, so in our spa we are always providing treatments that will rejuvenate the skin to help counteract the solar damage.  We also provide skin care products that will not only protect, but help reverse some of the damage,” Mercedes explained.  Skin, our largest organ, is one of the first attributes people notice, contributing to first impressions in a big way.  “We believe that taking care of your skin is just as important as taking care of your health.  After all, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer,” she added.  As the June sun gets brighter and brighter, we cannot forget what is important in the long run.
